Sir William and Lady Judi recognised by Hospice Waikato

Here at Gallagher, protecting what matters most is important to us, and this includes a commitment to working closely with local communities. We’re very proud to share that Sir William Gallagher and Lady Judi Gallagher have been awarded for their contributions to Hospice Waikato as this year’s Life Members.

Hospice Waikato’s Life Memberships are awarded each year for long and notable service, and nominees are recognised for having a substantial and positive impact on the organisation.

In announcing the nomination, Hospice Waikato Chair, Margaret Develin said “This description absolutely sums up your collective contribution to Hospice Waikato and quite simply, we would not be where we are today without the support you both have given to Hospice Waikato over many years.”

Ian Gallagher was pleased to accept the award in early May at Hospice Waikato's annual banquet event on behalf of Sir William and Lady Judi.

Over the years Sir William and Lady Judi have made a large number of contributions to the organisation, including, playing a key role in supporting the main Hospice Waikato site on Cobham Drive, sponsorship of the Waikato Hospice Bucket List Banquet, and regular participation in charitable auctions and events

Acknowledging the recognition, Sir William said “It’s an honour to contribute to deserving organisations in our communities and support them to deliver invaluable services to those in need. We are humbled by this recognition and thank Hospice Waikato for their work with the people in our community who need support at such a crucial time.”
